I found this Civil War Pension record the other day while looking up my Dees family of Columbia County, AR. This record below is for Charles Scott Dees, son of Daniel Dees and Mary Burt. In one biographical sketch on the Daniel Dees family, it said Scott Dees was too young to serve in the regular army but served in the Home Guard in 1865. It appears from that information that Flippin's Battalion was this Home Guard Unit.
