Many people will tell you that Centerville in Bradley County is now what is called Rowell. They mistakenly say this because of the Center Missionary Baptist Church at Rowell.

However, I have been reliable told by old timers of the area that in fact Centerville in 1861 was 2 miles south of Rowell and a mile west of what is now US hwy 63 and no longer exist.
