Re: records of soldiers who died from measles?

As a footnote to this discussion: There are approximately 20 Confederate soldiers buried in the "Confederate Cemetery" near the museum at Atoka, in Atoka county, Oklahoma. It is my understanding that these were men from an Arkansas regiment who "died of measles".

And, regarding the well-preserved Confederate records, please remember to give credit to General Samuel Cooper, Adjutant & Inspector General C.S.A. who had been Adjutant General of the United States Army prior to The War. General Cooper bundled up the records in his office and had them ready for Maj. Gen. Halleck when he arrived in Richmond.
