The panel with the exhibit didn't give the lieutenant's first name, but it did mention that he was killed while home on leave at Mulberry. So, the coat could've belonged to either one (come to think of it, I don't remember any rank markings on the coat's collar). The museum apparently has the last name wrong - I copied it down on my program as it was given on the panel. Thank you for this additional information; I wondered what had happened.
It would be interesting to know how this coat made it from Mulberry, Arkansas to Fort Worth, Texas.
