You have provided a new insight and appreciation for communication during the war in AR. Being an engineer (retired), the mechanics of making those systems function is facinating to me.
Since you are familier with the Alexander papers, you probably are also aware that reels 5, 6 and 7 of the series are all telegrams to/from the Hindman organization during 62. Also, the complete series of 8 rolls are at the Mullins Lib. at U of A in Fayetteville.
