There was a telegraph office in Van Buren on the north side of the Arkansas River. When the Feds occupied the town in December 1862 they discovered a large pile of Hindman telegrams and carted them off to Curtis in St. Louis. Do either of you gentlemen know how/where this office was connected to the Little Rock-Fort Smith line?
