Actually from what I have learned, while I was a Military telegrapher in 1969, both the sending and the recieveing station operators would have kept a log of all messages which they handled.

So in theory Hindmans Copybook of Telegraphs (Alexander Papers) would have been the sending station (Little Rock) record of the telegraphs that were sent. Obviously though there was more than one copybook. We have the senders copy but we do not have the copybook of messages sent to Hindman, because there are many questions posed in those telegraphs that were left unanswered in that copybook.
