Eight reels of microfilm, [numbered 1-3, 4.1, 4.2, 5-7]. Correspondence, general and special orders, field reports, telegrams, and other documents of the Confederate forces in Arkansas. Correspondents include Elias Cornelius Boudinot, Samuel Ryan Curtis, Thomas C. Hindman, Francis J. Herron, Theophilus H. Holmes, Robert Edward Lee, R. C. Newton, Albert Pike, William Quesenbury, John Selden Roane, and Stand Watie.

The Alexander Papers contain an immense amount of information about General Hindman's tenure as commander of the Trans Miss District in 1862.
