Pvt. William H. Harper, Co. D, 25th Arkansas Infantry, died of disease in a hospital at Memphis, Tennessee. I don't know the exact date of death, but he was interred in the Confederate section of Elmwood Cemetery at Memphis on May 6, 1862, so he presumably died a day or two previous to that date.
