Thanks for the information on Morgan but again it's the wrong W.A. Irvine. Mine married Anna Taylor Irvine in Madison Cnty Ky in 1868 then moved to Ft Scott Kansas. He was in Ennis Texas on business when he died in 1898. He is buried at Ft Scott in Evergreen Cemetery (see photo of his tombstone at Find A Grave). Both his obit and later his wife's mention he was a Colonel in Morgan's cavalry but didn't mention which company. Thanks for trying to help!
