Paper and the War

Alan, I certainly agree with the validity of your statements. In addition, I believe the unavailabiltity of paper surely played into the lack of data. Consider how many newspapers went under in the South due to the lack of paper. Not only did the mantufactuers either go under or go into making other items needed by the war effort, the editors pleas for rags needed to produce paper often went unheeded or met with an insuffcient response.

Again, I am in no way discounting your statements. They're perfectly sound. I just want to give a nod to how lack of resources and certain lifestyle issues we may not consider, effected all.

Please forgive any spelling errors-SpelCheck seems to not like me today.
