I have a Cousin who died of chronic Diarreaon on a Gunboat /Hospitalship while the boat Red Roverin 1862, he was a Union soldier but he was taken off the ship and Buried in a Gravewith a Headboard with the Name F N Whitneythe date is in July 1862 he was with theUS Gunboat Service on board the steamer Judge Torrance, on or about the first day of August 1962 Probably near Helena Ark.he also lost 2 of his Brothers during the War Erastus and Ezra they were from Machias, Maine, Thank you for any help Sincerely David H MacRae
