No, sir, we sure don't want to deny those boys their place in history. They sure seemed to be proud of that motto. They painted it on a sign at the main gate of their base camp -- I can't remember if that was at Di An or Lai Khe.
I thought it was neat that the regiment included a Civil War episode in their heraldry and traditions. I presume their colors had battle streamers for the Civil War battles it fought.
