Memphis Daily Appeal, May 14, 1861

MORE ARKANSAS TROOPS—The steamer Kentucky yesterday brought up from Napoleon four companies of Arkansas troops, the El Dorado Sentinels, 95 men; the Clarke County Volunteers, 150 men; the Camden Knights-a set of fine fellows-80 men; and another company. They took up their quarters at Gill’s cotton press. They are now on their way to Lynchburg, Va., under the command of Lieutenant Monroe.
