J. N. A. Billingsley

In Goodspeed's 1890, J. N. A. Billingsley, during the late conflict, or in 1862, joined the Confederate army, and served until the 5th of June, 1865, when he surrendered at Jacksonport, Ark. He participated in the following battles: Prairie Grove, Helena (July 4, 1863), Little Rock, and was in most of the battles during Gen. Price's raid through Missouri, in 1864. After cessation of hostilities he returned home and resumed his farming industry.

The J. N. A. stands for John Nezakiah Alexander Billingsley. He would have been about 28 years old when the war started. He was already married to Catherine Orr.

I would like to know what unit he was in, where he joined or any other information anyone can give me. I checked Gerdes Civil War Home page search engine, but didn't find him. He lived in Izard County if that helps. Thank you.
