Brian, yes sir I got the file you sent -- I haven't had any trouble receiving emails, at least none that I know of -- but apparently you didn't get the response I sent, which is what the ongoing problem has been. I still don't know exactly what I did, but what I wanted to do was to disable the feature that automatically makes a copy of every email I send. Over the years, the "sent" file has grown like a monster. It was slowing down the email program, taking forever for the program to load, and wasting disk space. Since most of those emails were pretty routine, I thought it would be more efficient to manually save the more important emails I sent, and not automatically save the routine ones. Anyhow, whatever I did not only stopped saving sent emails, it quit sending them altogether -- and I still can't figure out how I managed to do that.

Ditto your statement about new Civil War information being revealed after all these years. You'd think that everything that could be known about the war is known -- but I and my fellow researchers are still finding new information everyday. Amazing.
