I purchased there sometime ago a small pamphlet entitled "The Battle of Prairie Grove, December 7, 1862.

In the preface it states "[The following account of the battle of Prairie Grove is taken from the Southern Bivouac, published at Louisville, Ky., and was written by Samuel Jones. Formerly Major-General, C. S. Army.]"

I believe this citation at the bottom of the page refers to the Southern Bivouac article quoted above: "1. New Series, Vol. I pages 203-11: printed Louusville, Ky. 1885"
