James M. Robertson

I have a copy of a letter written by J. W. Robertson to his mother, Susanah Robertson letting her know his brother, James M. Robertson, died in Decatur, ALA.on Oct 31, 1864. Decatur was occupied and burned by the Union forces. After checking census and roster rolls, I believe he might have been in the 3rd Regt. Ark. Inf. I am a member of the Joe Wheeler UDC#291 Decatur, AL and we have 56 unknown soldiers buried in our old City Cemetery. We have put an iron fence around the graves and have our Confederate Day there every year. If someone knows of this family, please pass this on or any help would be greatly appreciated.
