The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: DeVall's Bluff

I am searching for information regarding a Confederate Prison Camp where my ancestors Ephraim (Ephriam) Frye and William Johnson were held captive until the end of the war. Frye was a Corporal and Johnson a Private in the Union Army. Frye was from Kansas and Johnson from Missouri. The camp was said to have had abysmal conditions with murder and mayhem commonplace. The two soldiers mustered out at DeVall's Bluff, Arkansas. Could this have been the prison where they were held?
