Profesor Sanders obviously wasn't a consultant on the History channel documentary about Camp Douglas entitled "40 Acres of Hell".

Second, when you can't feed your own Army or the people of the area how do you suppose that a Camp commander was to obtain food for prisoner in the South. The North had no such excuse.

I will admit that Prisoners in Texas like Camp Ford fared better than the Prisoners in Andersonville. But Sherman was in Georgia also. Wasn't he burning out the "Secess" to destroy their ability to wage war?
