The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

What became of Davidson's cavalry after Sept 63

In Sept. 1863 the Federals captured Little Rock. One of the columns involved was a cavalry force from Missouri under Davidson.

Were these cavalry ever returned to Missouri or did they remain in Arkansas?
