James H O'Conner

In "Biographical Sketches of Gen. Pat Cleburne and Gen. T.C. Hindman" pg115 Dr C. E. Nash says:
"A live yankee was caught and sent to us not by Cleburne, but by Forrest in his raid on Memphis. This yankee was a major in the Federal Army and brother - in - law of the writer."
"his man was no less than Col. James H O'Conner, of Helena, as strong a southern man and as good a democrat as can be found in the state."

Was this man the James H O'Conner who was Lt Col. of 3rd Ill cav US?
