I need to find the records of the military establishment in Batesville after the war and see if any report was made on the incident, especially if the shooters made the report. I would like the full name of the other shooter as well. The misspelling of names is common in these types of reports. Its possible that Minerva Kitchen was related but I have not found the name in any family histories here in Missouri.
