Have a list of men from 7th Kentucky, Co K who were captured in Desha County in 1865. Captain Davis of 13th Illinois Cav at same time reports capturing Confederates in Desha and Arkansas County during same time period. These men who started out as Desha Co Militia then 7th Kentucky,then 13th or 15th Arkansas and some how or another after fighting most of the war with the AOT wind up back in Desha County with Thompson. They join up with Carlton's Cav, fight with Price on his infamous Missouri campaign then wind up back in Desha County. Can't speak for anyone but myself, but if I had gone through everything these guys had with the AOT, I believe if I got back to Desha County the war would have been over for me. Yet these men seemed to have willingly fought to the end. Pretty dad-gum dedicated.
