Re: Col. Allen Rufus Witt-10th Ark?

Just was reviewing some of the questions on this site and noticed your question about your gggrandfather george trawick in company c of the 10th arkansas regiment. i have my grandfathers diary from the war. my grandfather was Captain Thomas Jefferson Morrison, head of Company C. In his diary he lists the men under him etc. Your ggg I guess is yours, is listed as trawick, g.w. He is also listed in a portion of the diary where my grandfather lists all his men and color of their eyes, hair, where they came from etc...unfortunatel g.w. trawick doesn't have that information included, again he is listed, but not the details.

We are not sure when the time frame is, but definately after Oct. 1863. So we know it is sometime after that. We know my grandfather surrendered may 11, 1865 and paroled at jacksonport, ar on june 5, 1865.

hope this helps some
