Jeff, as George correctly points out, the men you mentioned were members of Witt's 10th Arkansas Infantry (Mounted) -- aka Witt's 10th Arkansas Cavalry. Hunter's Regiment is probably the Missouri cavalry regiment commanded by Col. DeWitt Clinton Hunter (not to be confused with his earlier command, the 11th Missouri Infantry). Hunter's Missouri Cavalry Regiment is said to have recruited quite a few men in northern Arkansas. Unfortunately, I don't know of any rosters or muster rolls for this regiment. There may have been some transfers between Hunter's and Witt's regiments, but without any muster rolls it's impossible to say. It's intriguing to find Witt's men mentioned as members of Hunter's regiment -- another research project, I guess.
