You are obviously VERY knowledgeable....I appreciate your information. I have another question. 8 Years ago, Col. J.V. Witt out of VA wrote me and requested copies of the diary. I sent them and he transcribed some of the pages referring to his grandfather or gg?? Witt. I lost contact with him, do you know if he is still around?

Also, I have all this information in the diary, some I think would be helpful to researchers etc. Who would you recommend I go to share this information? Any ideas? I also am thinking about donating the diary to a library or someone that can care for it properly. I have been keeping it in a safety deposit box.

We have transribed most of it now.
