Hello. What you need to do is find which group their man was serving with.
That will tell you what battles a man would have been in and give you a possibility of where they fell or even if a POW where each man was taken to.
Do not expect to find a marked grave. If you find one, you just hit the jackpot.
A lot of men died.
A lot of men were never the same.
A lot of the men were left crippled though they came home and had families and tried to go on.
A lot of men were so worn out from the war that even though they came home they died soon after.
Now the reason I have such strong feelings about this is that is the way it went in my family.
You have to start the search and it can be done. It may turn out to be heartbreaking, but that is just the
way it was.
