Mahlon, yessir that is Wiley Newman McClure, formerly of Pike County, Arkansas, who served as a sergeant in Co. C, 19th (Dawson's) Arkansas Infantry. He was born in Tennessee c1842. His Compiled Service Record includes some 1915 correspondence between the Oklahoma Pension Board and the Adjutant-General's Office, regarding proof of service. He was in that part of Dawson's regiment that was captured at Arkansas Post and exchanged east of the Mississippi River, where he served to the end of the war.
