Frank,

Alfred H. Searcy served in Co. E, 1st (Stirman's) Battalion Arkansas Cavalry. The original captain was William H. Brooks (promoted to major), who was succeeded by First Lieut. George C. Robards. The company was known as the "Davis Light Horse." It was recruited in Washington County. The original members enlisted at Fayetteville on October 9, 1861, and mustered into Confederate service on October 21, 1861, for a term of twelve months.

His widow, Mrs. T. C. Searcy, applied for a Confederate pension from Washington County in 1907, stating that her husband had died on April 23, 1905. Her application was approved on August 15, 1907 (Pension No. 13585).
