Another possibility might be if your ancestor(s) applied for (or widow applied for) a CSA vet pension there in Randolph Co. Arkansas....

I have a little book (by Desmond Allen?) at home that lists all (most?) of the CSA vet pensions for Randolph County. Will look up your names to see if they are in it. The book does have a LOT of Fristoe's vets living in Randolph County, Ark. after the war......!!!!
