I am seeking information on my gg grandfather George S. Griffin of the 9th Regiment of Arkansas Infantry. He started out in Company B Drew County Confederate Grays and was later transfered to Company F, the Drew County Dixie Guards. He enlisted on Dec. 18, 1861 and was discharged on a surgeon's certificate of disability on April 15, 1863. I would like to know the nature of his disability and what battles he took part in. I would especially like to know if he fought at Shiloh. His widow applied for a Confederate pension in 1901, and was granted $25 per year. I would appreciate any info. Thanks, Judy
