The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: T.I. Moore, 13th TN Infantry

I've got fairly comprehensive records on Louisiana regiments. The only regiment that spent any appreciable time in Arkansas was the 3rd Louisiana Infantry, but Thomas I. (or J.) Moore isn't carried on their rolls. There were quite a few regiments from Missouri and Texas that passed through Fort Smith and Van Buren, and soldiers from both states are buried in and around both cities.

I served as an enlisted man in the Navy in the late 60's and early 70's, started out as a Radarman, ended up in electronic warfare, two tours in and around Vietnam. Then I got out, went to college, and went back in the service in the Coast Guard, and was commissioned as Ensign, USCGR. Served in Point Class cutters and buoy tenders, interspersed with staff duty ashore. Retired as a Commander several years ago. How about yourself?
