I believe that this Granville L. Wood was married three times. The first circa 1854 to a lady named Mahala, her last name is not given. She, according to 1860 census records, was born in Mississippi circa 1839 and died circa 1867. They had 8 children.

The second was listed in Dallas County marriage records as being to an Elizabeth L. Pearce, February 6th 1868, Book B-193. He was 32 and she was 19 at the time.

I don't have a record as to his marriage which you mention. It is very possible that his third wife had no knowledge of his Confederate service and therefore her right to recieve a pension.
