Dan, the records you found are those of the same man, Zephaniah T. Webb, of Pope County.

The 15th Arkansas Militia was the prewar State militia regiment of Pope County. Except for the Pulaski and Searcy county militia regiments, none of the prewar militia regiments took part in the Civil War, and those two exceptions were only for brief, specific reasons. Virtually all of the members of the militia served in Confederate or Union regiments (or both).

Zephaniah T. Webb was the captain of Co. A, 15th Regiment Arkansas Militia, when the war started. He later enlisted as a private in Co. H, 35th Arkansas Infantry, at Dover, Arkansas, on June 20, 1862, for three years or the war. This company was recruited in Pope County. He was reported as absent on sick furlough up through February 28, 1863. I don't have any later record of him. He applied for a Confederate pension from Johnson County in 1905. His application was approved on August 10, 1905 (Pension No. 6072), based on his service in the 35th Arkansas. His wife must have preceded him in death, or remarried after his death, because there is no widow's claim.
