After being released from prison, Brig. Gen. Thomas Churchill led his division during part of the Tullahoma Campaign,turning command of his brigade over to another officer in, I believe, August 1863. He returned to the Trans-Mississippi in early December. Does anyone know what he did during the interim? Thanks for any help.
