Bryan, thank you for your analysis. I thought that what you said may have been the case - that Benjamin's name was transferred from the role of the 17th Regiment to the newly formed 21st Regiment without his actually have been there. It appears that either he was still at home in Yell County on sick furlough or had died there. I will now concentrate on what happened to him in Yell County. Thanks for you help.
