Bob, Greenwood is mistakenly listed as colonel of the 26th AR, due to the fact that the mustering forms of that unit were filled out wrong.

As such, he rates a brief mention in the appendix of my new book, "Confederate Colonels. A Biographical Register" (U of MO Press 2008). In 1863 he tried to raise a regiment in TN. He was wounded and captured 9-28-63 in Macon Co., TN. After exchange, he returned to KY/W VA, but never succeeded in raising his own unit.

After the war he was involved in various business ventures in Cuba and Mexico.
