When we retired and moved back to Searcy, one of the first things I did was check out the county library. They had a very meager Civil War collection, just the old standards -- Battles and Leaders, Generals in Gray, etc. I donated several years' worth of Civil War Illustrated magazines, your Pea Ridge book, and a few others. I try to give the librarian a heads-up when a worthy new Civil War book is published, and I donate the more important ones. My pension from Uncle Sam doesn't go as far as it used to, so I don't know how much longer I'll be able to keep it up.
