Bryan, thanks! This might be the opening I’m looking for. I was researching William H. Buckler, Co E, 13th, with the hope of finding a connection to Cornelius Buckler, Co E, 26th. Both were members of the Desha County Militia in ’61. The only Cornelius I’ve found in the 1860 census was in Ballard County, KY, and he had a brother named William (possible connection). The only problem I’ve run into is that Cornelius appears in the 1870 and 1880 Ballard County, KY, census as well. If this is my soldier, he went back home. If you have anything that might clarify all of this, I’d sure appreciate a posting. Thanks again!
