I must say this looks impressive. You have done a good job but then you had an
interesting personality to follow up on. May I ask, did the sons ever get their graves marked?
At the time period that you are speaking of, things were getting rather rough in Little Rock.
My kin were there too and my ancestor William Robinson Vaughn/Vaughan lay in an unmarked
grave for over a 100 years. In fact, the man died probably flat broke refusing to take
the loyalty oath. My long lost cousin who was an active member in the UDC came back around
10 years ago from Texas and got the government marker placed with a dedication ceremony
which was extremely nice.
