Yes, the youngest son, George Godwin Borland (1846AR-1862TX) did serve under Gen Pike http://files.usgwarchives.org/ar/pulaski/obits/borlandgg.txt , the other Thomas died in 1859. Harold, the third son is buired in Lttle Rock National cemetery, Confederate #1001, with a nice white marble stone, however the demoted him to a "LIEUT" when he had been a Major.

I once read the wife, Mary, is also intilted to a marker?

I have no idea where to start the red tape chase to get such done, possible some kind soul in Pulaski county will have the interest to so do.

Remind all that Solon's 1992 Memorial stone is just that, ~ ~ his burial site is unknown, thought by some to be in City cemetery Houston.
