I also want to thank you all for your responses and theories. This has been a fantastic mystery, I have found our more in the past couple of weeks than I have for the last year. I did find the grave site for Thomas and plan to try to find it as soon as I can. He is buried in New Hope cemetery in Grant County. Not sure where this is but as soon as I get an available weekend I'll do some hunting. If anyone knows where this might be please let me know.
