Here is a list of known Carr's buried in the New Hope Cemetery which is 7 miles south of Sheridan.

It seems that this Thomas A. Carr and your Thomas L. Carr Are two different persons. There was a Thomas A. Carr enlisted in Company F, 11th Arkansas Infantry which enlisted in Benton Arkansas in July 1861. The complicated part of all this is that Grant County didn't exist in 1860 and this part of the state was a part of Saline County.
