I am beginning research on the Battle of Prairie Grove and I would like to get some info on locating first-hand accounts of the battle, whether civilian or military. At this time, I'm trying to compile sources and resources. I would like to locate letters written by the troops themselves focusing on the battle. Also, how would I locate military accounts of the battle? Ultimately, I would like to have detailed accounts of the battle throughout the day and even hourly if such a thing is possible. Is anyone aware of any photographs? Being new to this, any assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated.
