Hey, My Grandpa, in the 3rd Arkansas fought beside them Texans in Gen'l Lee's Army.

I honestly believe that was the begining of the Arkansas vs Texas thing. Why if it wasn't for old Sam Houston and others getting together and planning the independence of Texas in a little home called Washington, Arkansas would there even have been a Texas in the United States. Heck, I think we even still have Davey Crocketts rifle and his Grandson Robert Crockett commanded one of our Companys and later regiments during the war. Even four of my distance Taylor kinfolk from Madison, Co. Tennessee were in the Alamo.

So Texas is really a suburb of Arkansas. We just kept the prettiest part of the land with its tall timber, the diamond mines, and the Hot Springs, and other things like that for ourselves, and gave them Texans those 10 gallon hats and cows, scrub brush, tumbleweeds, and sand. LOL

Have fun my friend, Life is too short to not be happy, while you're here. Merry Christmas.
