My great-great grandfather, Lewis Wellington Munroe (L W) lived in Brownsville, Prairie County, Ar at the time of the war and served in what I believe was called the "Arkansas Home Gaurd". He was a private though in later life everyone in the town of Lonoke would refer to him as Major Munroe. Where can I find details of his service and the unit he servered?
