1st Consolidated Mounted Rifles

In the final reorganization of the Army of Tennessee on April 9, 1865, which I mentioned in my previous post, the remnants of the rest of the Arkansas infantry regiments, those constituting Reynolds' old brigade, were also consolidated into one regiment -- the 1st Consolidated Arkansas Mounted Rifles. Here's the distribution of the old regiments in the new consolidated regiment --

Co. A--1st Arkansas Mounted Rifles (Cos. A,B,D,E).
Co. B--1st Arkansas Mounted Rifles (Cos. C,F,G,H,I,K).
Co. C--2nd Arkansas Mounted Rifles (Cos. A,B,C,D,I,K).
Co. D--2nd Arkansas Mounted Rifles (Cos. E,F,G,H).
Co. E--4th Arkansas Infantry (Cos. A,B,E).
Co. F--4th Arkansas Infantry (Cos. C,D,F,G,H,I,K).
Co. G--31st Arkansas Infantry and 4th Arkansas Battalion.
Co. H--9th Arkansas Infantry (Cos. A,C,D,F,H).
Co. I-9th Arkansas Infantry (Cos. E,G,I,K).
Co. K--25th Arkansas Infantry.

Note that Co. B, 9th Arkansas Infantry, had already been disbanded and distributed among the other companies before this reorganization.

Also note that the 4th Arkansas Regiment, 31st Arkansas Regiment, and 4th Arkansas Battalion had been in field consolidation for several months previously, due to severe losses in the latter two units.
