Brent, the three soldiers interred at Mount Olivet Cemetery were members of the 3rd Arkansas Infantry who had been wounded and captured at Sharpsburg on September 17, 1862. They all died of wounds, as prisoners of war, at "Frederick Town", Maryland. Until your post, it was not known where these men were interred. Many thanks for the wonderful work you are doing.

Private Elihu Adams was 28 years old, married, a resident of Union County, Arkansas. The exact date of his death is not listed in the regimental records, but believed to be sometime between October and December 1862.

Private Marcellus Augustus Gammel was 22 years old, unmarried, a resident of Union County, Arkansas, who died of his wounds on December 5, 1862.

First Sergeant Wyatt S. Miles was 20 years old, unmarried, a resident of Drew County, Arkansas, who died of his wounds on October 13, 1862.
