The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Civil war records/J. T. Scott

To obtain the list, you needed to be a member of the White County Historical Society. Their address is
Box 537, Searcy, Arkansas 72145. Dues are $16 a year. They have a quarterly newsletter and put out a yearly
book called The Heritage which is where the list was placed. The e-mail address is wchistory@swbell.net
I do not have a clue as to if they have any copies of The Heritage left. The list was put together by two of
their members who worked on it for a long time, I would say. It lists the men who served during the
Civil War that are buried in White County. For a person to be on the list, they had to have a marker, or else
someone submitted that name.
Good luck.
Linda
